Experience

Power Design, Inc. — Mechanical Engineering InternJun 2026 – Aug 2026

  • Carried out Carrier HAP thermal load simulations for 57 amenity spaces, defining envelope, ventilation and internal gain inputs.
  • Sized and selected VRF/VRV and split system equipment based on calculated loads and applicable codes.
  • Sized exhaust and intake louvers up to 44,000 CFM, verifying free area, face velocity and static pressure loss.
  • Reviewed vendor submittals against design calculations, identifying capacity and electrical discrepancies.
  • Modeled duct and equipment layouts in Revit and resolved spatial conflicts with the electrical and plumbing teams.

Aero-propulsion, Mechatronics, and Energy Center — Undergraduate ResearcherNov 2024 – May 2026

  • Redesigned a piezoelectric amplification mechanism to reduce amplifier breakage from off-axis loading in wind tunnel testing.
  • Tested the aluminum prototype, measuring 5.6× amplification and a blocking force 32% higher than the commercial unit it replaces.
  • Performed FEA to optimize geometry, predicting ~11.8× displacement amplification and ~1 kHz resonance, then compared those predictions against measured prototype performance.
  • Designed an aerodynamic housing under machining and integration constraints for wind tunnel experiments.

FAMU-FSU College of Engineering Makerspace — Makerspace CoordinatorOct 2025 – present

  • Coordinate daily operations of the college Makerspace, covering equipment upkeep, shop safety and scheduling.
  • Run and maintain the 3D printers, and train students on printing, soldering and the drill press and band saw for safe independent use.
  • Helped open the facility, drafting operating policy, safety procedure and the equipment checkout process.

Projects

Load-Bearing Cantilever Truss — 105.5 g balsa cantilever that took first place, with rivets placed by analysis

Stirling Engine — 39-part assembly modelled, drawn and machined to a running engine

Inconel 718 in Jet Engine Turbine Disks — Materials selection study tracing creep resistance back to atomic structure

Skills

Leadership & activities

SAE Baja — Ergonomics team Seat mount design. The chapter's vehicle was stolen in 2023, before I joined, and has not been replaced, so most of our work has been analysis and simulation rather than fabrication.Jan 2025 – May 2026

Women in Science, Math & Engineering (WIMSE) — Service committee Presented the piezoelectric amplifier research at the WIMSE symposium.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

SLANG — Secondary Language Acquisition Networking Group — French ambassador

Volunteering

HELO School — Siem Reap, CambodiaJan 2024 – Jul 2025

  • Managed classrooms of 20–30 students aged 4–12 and built an English language learning curriculum.
  • Introduced standardized placement testing to verify class-level assignment across the school.

Peer Inclusion Team (PIT Crew) — Lakewood Ranch High School, FL2022 – 2023

  • Selected as a teaching assistant and tutor in a biology class for students with intellectual disabilities, around 60 hours across the year.
  • Worked one-to-one alongside the classroom teacher on lab activities and coursework.
